Julphar was established under the supervision of His Highness the late Sheikh Saqr bin Muhammad Al Qasimi in 1980, who was the ruler of Ras Al Khaimah at the time. Since then, Julphar has been providing innovative, high-quality, affordable healthcare solutions to families around the world. The company's business is based on three main units: Julphar Diabetes Solutions, Julphar Generic Pharmaceuticals, and Julphar Life, the consumer division. Our medicines target important therapeutic groups, including cardiology, gastroenterology, lung, dermatology, pain management, wound and scar healing, anti-infective, anemia, gynecological, dermatological and erectile problems. Julphar has more than 5,000 employees and its products are distributed to more than 50 countries on five continents around the world. Julphar has 16 internationally accredited factories in Africa, the Middle East and Asia and produces more than one million boxes of medicine daily. In 2012 Julphar became one of the largest insulin producers thanks to our state-of-the-art biotechnology plant in the UAE.
